Pris au jeu, il a conservé de cette expérience une relation très particulière au mauvais temps, un amour quasi fusionnel qui l'a amené à créer un univers visuel poétique lié aux variations météorologiques.
C'est cette dimension onirique du climat qui l'intéresse, ainsi que sa dimension romanesque et imprévisible. Celle qui découle, au fond, de l'implacabilité des humeurs du ciel, et qui nous gratifie d'une infinie variation d'ambiances et d'atmosphères. Un typhon à Hong Kong, un déluge à Tokyo, une tempête à New-York, de la pluie au Groenland, une averse parisienne, la mousson indienne, des neiges islandaises, du blizzard à Étretat, à Bucarest ou à Chicago?
Christophe Jacrot came to photography in 2006, after a degree in photojournalist. He accepted a commission for a travel guide on Paris with the brief to produce images of sunny days in Paris. But the horrendous weather in spring that year gave him the idea of shooting ?Paris in the Rain?, a series of photographs that, in contrary to traditional tourist images of the City of Light, captured the city in adverse weather conditions. He got hooked by the challenge, and developed through this experience a very particular relationship with ?bad? weather, a romance that led him to create a poetic visual world based on changes in weather conditions.
He sees rain as a fabulous ground for photography, an under-used visual universe with a strong evocative power with a richness of subtle lights.

Edwin Koo
Edwin a travaillé cinq ans pour le groupe du Straits Times comme salarié photographe avant de se lancer en 2008 dans une démarche personnelle à plein temps, à partir de Katmandou, ou au Népal et la Swat valley au Pakistan. En 2011, il est rentré à Singapour, où il a chroniqué la campagne électorale sous le titre de "Notes for a singaporean son". Pour son récent projet « Transit », il a arpenté le métro de Singapour pour réaliser des portraits des usagers au moment où les portes se ferment et saisir « le théâtre quotidien, que l'?il ne voit pas » de ces commuters du MRT.
Il a reçu en 2012 le prix ICON de Martell Cordon Bleu. Il avait obtenu déjà en 2009, le prestigieux prix "The Getty Images Grant for Editorial Photography" et son travail sur le Pakistan avait reçu le troisième prix UNICEF Photo of the Year 2008.
Son travail a été publié dans de nombreux titres internationaux, et exposé dans des festivals à travers le monde, tels que "Visa pour l'Image" (France) et "Angkor photo festival" (Cambodge). Il est représenté par l'agence de presse et photo-journalisme française Cosmos et l'agence de photographie suisse Keystone.
Best known for his evocative monochrome imagery, Edwin Koo has traveled to the most difficult countries to tell stories with his pictures. After a 5-year career at the newspapers in Singapore, Edwin based himself in Nepal from 2008 to 2010, where he photographed for international magazines and his long-term visual storytelling projects.
In 2011, Koo returned to Singapore with the birth of his son. His first personal project in Singapore ? dedicated to his son ? was to document the historic 2011 General Election. Eventually, it culminated in his first solo exhibition ? ?Notes from a Singapore Son? ? a body of work reflecting a tsunami of change in Singapore's political landscape.
In 2012, he returned to Kathmandu and founded the KIO? ? Kathmandu Inside Out ? photography masterclass. Once a year, participants are invited to a full week workshop in Kathmandu ?to tell real stories with photography?.
His latest project ? Transit ? aims to "capture the daily theatre that the eye fails to see" of Singapore's multi-racial passengers on board its Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) trains.
In 2009, he was awarded the Getty Images Editorial Grant for Editorial Photography, one of international photojournalism's top awards, and in 2012, Edwin won the « ICON de Martell Cordon Bleu award », recognizing Singapore's top photography talent.
His photographic works has been published in international titles and exhibited worldwide at international festivals, such as "Visa Pour l'Image" (France) and "Angkor Photo Festival" (Cambodia). He is currently represented by French photo agency Cosmos and Swiss agency Keystone.

Gilles Massot
Après avoir fait des études d'architecture à Marseille et obtenant finalement un diplôme dans la photographie, Gilles se rend à Singapour en 1981 pour travailler dans la publicité. En 1985, il choisit le chemin de la photographie de voyage et d'écrivain. En 2000, il commence à enseigner la photographie au LASALLE College of the Arts, où il a obtenu son master. Son premier livre Bintan, Phoenix of the Malay Archipelago, publié en 2003, reste à ce jour la seule publication complète sur l'Archipel Riau.
Son travail a été présenté dans plus de 50 expositions en Asie et en Europe. Ses ?uvres font partie des collections de la Maison européenne de la photographie et du Musée d'art de Singapour, ainsi que dans plusieurs collections privées en Asie et en Europe. Aujourd'hui, il enseigne la photographie à LASALLE College of the Arts et l'histoire de la photographie à la Nanyang Technological University. Il a récemment été élevé au grade de Chevalier des Arts et Lettres.
A visual artist, performer, educator and academic, Gilles' artistic process looks beyond forms to establish links between disciplines, people, occurrences and parts of the world.
After studying architecture in Marseille (France) and eventually graduating in photography, Gilles came to live in Singapore in 1981. His early participation to the local art scene saw him involved in a string of seminal events.
In 1985, he chose the path of travel photographer and writer and followed it for the next 15 years. His photojournalistic work has been extensively published in various magazines, and his approach to the art of travelling has resulted in over 50 fine art exhibitions in France and Asia. In 2000, he started teaching photography in LASALLE's Faculty of Fine Arts. His artistic work is part of the collection of the Maison Europeenne de la Photographie in Paris and the Singapore Art Museum.
His work, presented in over 50 exhibitions in France and Asia, is found in the Singapore Art Museum and the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris. He was recently made a Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres by the French Republic.

Nikon Professional Photographer, Imran Ahmad B Rayat Ahmad is all about bringing the best out of the Ocean. Underwater photographer, he is a staunch environmentalist and member of the Ocean Artist Society.
His style is creatively complex and unpredictable, invoking a provocative response of excitement that captures a definitive moment. In his innovative exploration of underwater imagery, Imran has an uncanny way of capturing fluidity and lithe by playing with light, clarity and reflectivity, taking water's unique properties to breathtakingly new heights.
His work has been published in many different leading magazines and exhibited worldwide. He is ?the Top Asian Underwater Photographer in the World? - Dietmar Fuchs, Chief Editor for BlancPain. He is also part of the judging team for various underwater photo competitions as well as Nikon's ?Big Shot' Competition.
As of 2012, Imran was appointed as President on the newly formed South East Asia Society of Underwater Photographers (SEASOUP). Through SEASOUP, he aspires to promote underwater photography in all its aspects, both as an art form and means of recording underwater observations with a strong aim towards marine conservation.
