|Description||Following the success of their recent appearances at the Basement and Slide Lounge French born singers Marie-Hélène Berteau and Sylvie Renaud-Calmel pair up again with Australian- Taiwanese pianist Katy Tsai for a beautiful afternoon of French music in the spirit of Christmas celebration.
To be expected at this concert are traditional French carols such as ‘Les anges dans nos campagnes’ and ‘Minuit Chrétien’, favourite classical excerpts including Gounod’s Ave Maria and the Flower duet from Lakme? as well well-known popular ‘ French 'chansons' as performed by Charles Trenet, Serge Gainsbourg and Edith Piaf.
This will be a concert to be enjoyed by the whole family and afternoon tea, tea, coffee and drinks will be available to complement the music with French culinary tradition.
For this very special concert the French Revue has invited some special friends to performed with them including accordeonist Leo Garnier and Mosman Public School Choir.
Both classically trained, French-born singers Marie-Hélène and Sylvie enjoyed performing a broad range of music from the classical repertoire to music theatre, French “chansons” and European cabaret. With a particular flair from French music and a love of intimate settings, along with pianist Katy Tsai they deliver high-quality performances that appeal to both music lovers and dilettantes.
